The WEILBURGER Graphics coating quantity calculator enables the companys customers to calculate the coating quantities required for print jobs quickly and easily using given print job parameters. In addition to the sheet format, the area coverage for coating and the running length, including make ready and expected waste sheets, the anilox rollers used are also considered. The most common anilox rollers with GTT, Hexagonal, Hashur and ART gravures were taken into account. The coating quantity calculator also offers the option of calculating the required coating quantities for straight and perfecting jobs, if these are to be produced with the same coating and the same anilox roller, in just one calculation run. With different coatings and/or anilox rollers for perfecting, the user can also easily calculate these quantities by means of a second calculation run - without having to re-enter all parameters. Only the additional amount of coating required for filling and circulation per print run must be added by the calculators user, as this varies depending on the system and the peripherals used - such as coating temperature control, for example. However, WEILBURGER Graphics expressly points this out in the coating quantity calculator and also provides users with reference values for different sheet formats.

But also, for print jobs that are to be produced in a combination of a printing and coating unit varnish, as is possible with TWIN effect and hybrid varnish systems from WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, the new coating quantity calculator is equipped. The required quantities of printing varnish can also be calculated here on the basis of the parameters already entered for the print job by specifying the area coverage for the printing varnish. This calculation can also be carried out simultaneously in only one calculation process for perfecting.

The coating quantity calculator from WEILBURGER Graphics is suitable for all common, unpigmented coating systems (UV-, dispersion-, solvent-, oil-based) and is currently available in four languages: German, English, Spanish, Polish and Russian.
